Inspire scheme. The SYALL Libraryfinder web site can be found
here. The agreement is managed by the SYALL Management Group. The last
Management Group meeting was not well attended. However we are keen to maintain this group in order to keep the operation of the SYALL scheme under review and ensure that it continues to meet the needs of libraries and users. To this end we are asking all SYALL members to do the following.
- Review your representation on the SYALL Group and try to ensure that you are represented at group meetings.
- Use this SYALL website to keep in touch and contribute your views. Face-to-face meetings will be kept to a minimum.
- Fill in the SYALL feedback survey so that we can review the operation of the agreement.
SYALL feedback surveyAn important feature of the SYALL agreement is that in order to remove barriers to use and to reduce the burden on libraries we do not ask users to register as SYALL users or libraries to record the number of SYALL users they receive. However we would like to receive some feedback on the take up of this scheme. SYALL members are asked to provide an indication of the use of their libraries by external users i.e. users who are not members of the library or institution and are not using the library under some other scheme such as associate membership or the SCONUL access scheme. It is recognised that academic libraries are more likely to be able to provide an estimate than public libraries. Your help with this survey would be much appreciated.Click HERE for SYALL feedback survey.
